About Daisy…
I’m Daisy, a degree-qualified acupuncturist that integrates both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element acupuncture. I trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine and hold a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture. Additionally, I am a Manual Lymphatic Drainage specialist trained at Level 2 by Dr Vodder.
My Approach
I work with people experiencing persistent pain, fatigue, hormonal changes and complex health concerns, particularly when symptoms have not fully improved with previous treatments.
Many of the people who come to see me have been dealing with their symptoms for a long time. They may have tried different therapies, medications or lifestyle changes but still feel that something has not quite resolved. My role is to take a step back, look at the wider picture of what is happening in the body and support it in moving towards better balance and recovery.
My treatments combine acupuncture and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). These therapies work together to support the nervous system, circulation and the body’s natural healing processes.
Acupuncture helps regulate the way the body responds to stress, pain and internal imbalance. MLD is a specialised and very gentle technique that encourages the movement of lymph fluid, which plays an important role in reducing swelling, clearing waste products from the tissues and supporting the immune system. This combined approach can be particularly helpful in long standing conditions where inflammation, nervous system sensitivity and reduced circulation may all be contributing to ongoing symptoms.
Clinical Methods
My treatments draw on several acupuncture traditions that allow for both systemic and targeted care.
Traditional Chinese Medicine views the body as an interconnected system in which physical symptoms, emotional wellbeing and lifestyle patterns influence one another. Diagnosis focuses on identifying patterns of imbalance rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
Five Element acupuncture explores deeper constitutional patterns that influence how individuals respond to stress, illness and recovery. This perspective often brings insight into the emotional and behavioural aspects of health.
Applied Channel Theory allows for precise clinical treatment of musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic symptoms and functional imbalances by working directly through the acupuncture channel system.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is incorporated where tissue congestion, inflammation or post surgical changes are present, helping restore healthy fluid movement and support tissue recovery.
Conditions I Commonly Treat…
Rather than treating isolated symptoms, I work with patterns that commonly underlie persistent or complex health concerns.
Chronic Pain
Chronic pain often involves more than an injury or structural problem. Over time the nervous system can become more sensitive, meaning pain signals are amplified and the body remains in a protective state even after the original issue has healed.
Treatment focuses on calming these heightened pain responses while improving circulation and supporting recovery within the affected tissues. This approach can be particularly helpful for musculoskeletal pain, pelvic pain, tension headaches and persistent pain patterns that have not fully responded to other treatments.
Fatigue and Burnout
Chronic fatigue and burnout frequently develop when the body remains in a prolonged stress response. Sleep disruption, immune changes and reduced physiological resilience can follow.
Treatment aims to support recovery by helping the nervous system move out of this sustained stress state and into a more restorative mode. Many patients notice gradual improvements in sleep quality, mental clarity and overall energy stability as the body regains a more balanced rhythm.
Women’s Health
Hormonal symptoms such as PMS, painful periods, irregular cycles and perimenopausal changes often reflect complex interactions between the endocrine system, stress physiology and pelvic circulation.
Acupuncture can support hormonal regulation and improve blood flow within the pelvic region, while lymphatic work may help where fluid retention, breast tenderness or pelvic congestion are present. Treatment works with the body’s natural cycles to support smoother hormonal transitions.
A Personalised Approach
I understand how discouraging it can feel when symptoms persist despite trying many different approaches. Many patients arrive feeling frustrated, exhausted or unsure about where to turn next.
I take time to listen carefully and understand the full picture of your health, including your history, lifestyle and how your symptoms have developed over time. From there we create a treatment plan to your individual needs.
My aim is not simply to reduce symptoms temporarily, but to support meaningful and lasting change. Even when a condition has been present for many years, small improvements in how the body regulates pain, stress and recovery can make a significant difference to everyday wellbeing.
Clinic Location
My clinic is based in Southbourne, Bournemouth, providing a calm and professional space dedicated to acupuncture and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
